Workshop Proposal Locating the D spot - Design Thinking for Small Business

The word design is increasingly being used in business school discussions on innovation and entrepreneurship, and design thinking is being viewed as an innovative problem-solving methodology and essential business strategy tool. Small businesses can take advantage of some of design’s core components such as its user centered research approach, iterative process and visualization methods, and use design as a means to abstract and formalize problems and opportunities. The workshop will introduce participants to the design process and thinking, and design tools and techniques for developing innovative products and services.
